Alexander Burmistrov (born October 21, 1991 in Kazan, Russian SFSR, USSR) is a professional Russian ice hockey forward currently playing for Barrie Colts of the OHL. Burmistrov represented Russia at the 2010 World Junior Championships held in Saskatchewan, Canada. He was drafted by the Barrie Colts 12th overall in the 2009 CHL Import Draft.[1] Burmistrov was drafted 8th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers.

Playing careerEdit

Burmistrov joined the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) after being selected 12th overall in the 2009 CHL Import Draft.[1] He made his debut in North America on September 17, 2009 against the Owen Sound Attack. He also recorded his first career OHL goal in this game.[1]
